A message from the Board of Trustees

On behalf of the Mutley Greenbank Trust (MGT) we would like to welcome three new board members who have recently joined us, Steve Ricketts, Suzanne Fearnside and Andrea Lewis. All three trustees come with a vast amount of experience and will be a huge asset to our organisation and the community as a whole.

Hi I am Andrea Lewis. A little about my background for you all. I have been involved with youth and community working roles over the past 20 years. Starting as a volunteer with Torbay youth offending team, then became a Foster carer supporting Teenagers. Alongside this, I was a family support worker as part of the early intervention service, and progressing to link work for schools and communities, and attendance and welfare…I facilitated group learning for parents, supporting children to remain at home and out of the care system…I look forward to supporting this youth and community project.

Hello my name is Suzanne Fearnside I started my career as a Youth Worker in Plymouth before completing a Social Policy degree with a Diploma in Youth and Community Work at Plymouth University. At the time I lived in Greenbank and I spent my placement year working with a Greenbank community group and developing a community profile of the area. I have spent many years working in Education but this has often involved working with a range of community projects and networking with a variety of agencies. I have served, in the past, as a Trustee and a Parish councillor and currently work within home education in my local area. I am looking forward to working with Mutley Greenbank Trust and contributing to its development.

Hello my name is Steve Ricketts My background has been in helping long- term unemployed people back into work. I currently manage the Sherford skills centre supporting military leavers and unemployed people with new careers in the construction industry. I have been a local resident for many years and my two young children attend Mount Street Primary school. I am also an independent community campaigner in the Greenbank & University area and I am looking forward to working with the MGT and contributing to its development
